About the project
Alfie was shortlisted with another baby for a production using visual-effects technology and was selected for the filming day at Pinewood Studios.
The production team used specialist filming techniques to capture material for a digitally created character. Alfie’s parent described an organised, professional day in which the babies’ working time and comfort were carefully managed.

Family feedback
This was a fantastic experience at Pinewood Studios. The company we worked with were fantastic and so professional making sure we didn’t run over time and tired out the little ones. It was fantastic to see all the hard work that goes into the production and the amounts of people who work within a team. It was a great experience to work with fantastic people – definitely a memory we will keep forever. — Mum
What parents should know
Commercial casting is based on the needs of an individual campaign. Age, appearance, location, availability and the ability to work comfortably on set can all influence the final choice, so a submission or audition cannot guarantee a booking.
Parents should confirm the schedule, travel arrangements, usage terms and their child’s practical needs before accepting work. The child’s welfare and willingness to participate must remain the priority throughout the production.
Keeping profiles, measurements and availability current helps an agency submit only suitable children and families. It also reduces avoidable delays when a casting brief has a short response deadline.
