About the project

Andrew and his mum Olga were cast together in a Johnson’s Petite Planet product video. Their real relationship helped the production capture natural interaction between parent and baby.

The family’s account describes helpful organisation from the agency and production team, including travel arrangements and support during the job.

Family feedback

The agency was great. They were very helpful and organised. Andy took part in the commercial for a product from Little Planet for Johnson and Johnson. The producers organised all the travel arrangements for us and made sure we had everything we needed. Andy was a bit tricky on the day and cried a bit but the producers were understanding and still made the video work. — Mum

What parents should know

Commercial casting is based on the needs of an individual campaign. Age, appearance, location, availability and the ability to work comfortably on set can all influence the final choice, so a submission or audition cannot guarantee a booking.

Parents should confirm the schedule, travel arrangements, usage terms and their child’s practical needs before accepting work. The child’s welfare and willingness to participate must remain the priority throughout the production.

Keeping profiles, measurements and availability current helps an agency submit only suitable children and families. It also reduces avoidable delays when a casting brief has a short response deadline.
