About the project
Vicky took her seven-year-old son Daniel to a Tesco casting for a mother-and-son assignment. After meeting them together, the director also invited Vicky to take part in the shoot.
The resulting in-store photographs promoted a Tesco food product. Vicky’s feedback describes a friendly production team that helped her feel comfortable during her first modelling experience.

Family feedback
Went for a casting with my 7-year-old son Daniel for a Tescos job where they needed a mother & son and I was asked to model as well. Big thanks to our agency, Kids Talent
Was a very interesting day and everyone in the production team and client team were friendly and made me feel comfortable as had never done anything like that before. Looking forward to seeing the instore pictures of “my sweet potato pie” in September! — Vicky
Preparing for similar opportunities
Real-family castings depend on natural relationships as well as the individual requirements of the campaign. Every participating family member should be included in the submission and genuinely available for the proposed dates.
Step 1Keep both profiles current
Supply recent photographs, measurements and availability for every family member included in the casting.
Step 2Show a natural relationship
Clients casting real families often want relaxed interaction rather than highly posed performances.
Step 3Follow the brief
Submit the requested combination of people, images and details without adding family members who are not required.
Step 4Plan the practical details
Check travel, school or work commitments and the child’s needs before confirming availability.
