Applications & Representation

Talent Terms and Conditions

1. About these terms

“Agency”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean KidsTalent.Agency. “Parent” means a parent or legal guardian with parental responsibility. “Child” means the person under 18 whose application or representation is being managed. “Hirer” means a casting director, producer, production company, photographer or other client seeking talent.

By submitting an application, the parent confirms the eligibility, authority and accuracy statements in these terms. No work-finding service begins, and no application or representation fee becomes payable, merely because an application has been submitted.

2. Eligibility and parental authority

  • Applications are accepted only for children who are resident in the United Kingdom and under 18 at the time of application.
  • The application must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over who has authority to act for the child.
  • The parent confirms that the child may lawfully undertake work in the UK and will provide identity, right-to-work, school, licence or other supporting documents when reasonably required.
  • If another person shares parental responsibility, the applicant confirms that any consent needed from that person has been obtained.
  • The child must be willing to be considered for opportunities. Their welfare, education and wishes always take priority.

3. Applications and selection

Applications must be complete, truthful and current. Photographs must be recent and must show the child accurately. The parent must tell us promptly if any important information changes.

There is no charge to submit an application. We may request further information, arrange a conversation or decline an application. Applying does not guarantee acceptance, an audition, a booking, earnings or representation for any particular period.

The parent may withdraw an application at any time before representation is agreed by emailing info@kidstalent.agency.

4. Representation and work-finding services

If representation is offered, we will provide a separate written agreement before providing work-finding services or charging any fee. It will identify the services we provide, the types of work sought, any authority to act or receive money, the applicable fees or commission, payment and refund arrangements, and the notice each party must give to end the agreement.

Subject to that agreement, our services may include creating and maintaining casting profiles, identifying potentially suitable opportunities, submitting the child for consideration, arranging auditions or self-tapes, communicating with hirers and negotiating proposed booking terms.

Unless the written agreement says otherwise, representation is non-exclusive. The parent must nevertheless disclose other representation and avoid duplicate submissions or conflicting commitments.

5. Profiles, photographs and information

The parent confirms that they have the right to provide all photographs, videos and other material submitted to us. Material must not infringe another person’s rights, be misleading, or contain inappropriate or unsafe content.

Application material is used initially to assess suitability. If representation is agreed, the parent may authorise us to create casting profiles and share relevant material with legitimate industry professionals for work-finding purposes. We will provide a reasonable opportunity to review promotional material and raise objections before publication where required by law.

The parent is responsible for keeping measurements, appearance, contact details, availability, skills and credits accurate. We may pause submissions while material is incomplete or out of date.

6. Castings, bookings and licences

We will provide the information available to us about an opportunity, which may include the hirer, role, dates, location, hours, proposed pay, usage, expenses and known health or safety matters. Details may change or an opportunity may be withdrawn by the hirer.

The parent must confirm availability and that the child is willing before accepting a booking. Once accepted, the parent and child must attend punctually, follow reasonable production instructions and promptly report any problem. Travel, accommodation and other expenses are the parent’s responsibility unless the booking confirmation states otherwise.

A child performance licence, school permission or approved chaperone may be required. The production or person responsible for the event normally applies for the licence; the parent must provide requested documents promptly and must not allow the child to work until all required permissions and supervision arrangements are confirmed. See the official GOV.UK guidance on child performance licences.

7. Fees, Commission and Payment

Unless a particular Assignment states otherwise in writing, the Agency’s work-finding commission is 20% of the gross Talent fee for work obtained through the Agency.

Commission remains payable after representation ends on payments arising from an Assignment, usage, renewal, extension or engagement procured or negotiated before termination.

We charge a nominal fee on joining the Agency. This is a Performer Profile Publication Fee which covers creating, publishing, securely hosting and maintaining the Talent’s approved performer profile for the selected period, including reasonable updates. It is not an application fee, does not pay for acceptance or representation, and does not guarantee submissions, auditions, bookings or earnings. Work-finding commission is separate and applies only to paid work obtained through the Agency.

8. Child welfare and conduct

The child’s safety and wellbeing are paramount. A parent should raise any safeguarding, health, accessibility or welfare concern immediately. The child must never be pressured to accept or continue with work that makes them uncomfortable.

The parent and child must behave professionally and respectfully towards hirers, production teams and other talent. We may decline or withdraw a submission or booking where we reasonably believe it is unsuitable, unlawful, unsafe or contrary to the child’s interests.

The parent must disclose any medical, dietary, accessibility or other requirement relevant to safely assessing or carrying out a role, while sharing no more sensitive information than is reasonably necessary.

9. Cancellations and ending representation

Either party may end representation in accordance with the notice and cancellation provisions in the separate written agreement. Statutory cancellation rights are unaffected.

If the parent needs to cancel an accepted audition or booking, they must tell us immediately. Any cancellation charge or recoverable loss must have been properly disclosed, be lawful and relate to the applicable booking terms. We may suspend or end representation for serious or repeated non-attendance, inaccurate information, abusive conduct, unsafe behaviour or a material breach of the written agreement.

10. Privacy and confidentiality

We handle personal information, including children’s information and photographs, as described in our Privacy Policy. We use application data to assess the application and, where representation is agreed, to provide agency and work-finding services.

Relevant information may be shared with authorised staff, service providers, casting platforms and legitimate hirers where necessary. Parents must treat confidential casting briefs, scripts, production details, rates and personal information about others as confidential and must not publish them without permission.

11. Responsibility and liability

We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. We do not guarantee acceptance, castings, bookings, a particular level of earnings, continued work or any decision made by a hirer.

We are not responsible for changes, cancellations, delays or non-payment caused by a hirer or another third party, although we will take reasonable steps within our role to communicate and assist. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or the parent’s statutory consumer rights.

12. Complaints, law and contact

Please raise any concern promptly so that we have an opportunity to investigate. Contact info@kidstalent.agency or write to KidsTalent.Agency, Kemp House, 152–160 City Road, London EC1V 2NX.

These application terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If the parent is a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, they retain any mandatory rights to bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where they live.

We may update this page for future applications. Material changes will not replace an existing written representation agreement unless agreed as that agreement requires.
